Sift the flour, knead the recipe from the city of Ulm Germany, press the dough for 40 minutes, shape the sparrows, place the eyes, the nose and the tail, bake them, bake at 180 degrees.
For whom did you bake?
We roasted these sparrows so that adults can pass the sparrows to the young and the children! The sparrow symbol of the city of Ulm has a message of voluntarily helping needy people, helping adults, transmitting volunteerism for unity and togetherness in the transmission of kindness, mutual assistance and hope for a better life for peoples and countries along the Danube River to unite in the EU!
Why did you select this recipient group? What are the reasons?
We have chosen young people to hand over the Sparrow – a symbol of the city of Ulm – Germany as a sign of friendship between the peoples along the Danube! We handed over 40 sparrows to children and the elderly took symbolic hands! With some of the participants, we reached out to symbolize a union between 13 countries on both sides of the banks of the Danube! Everything went with a very positive emotion and joy from the implementation of this event in our beautiful neighborhood Dolapite Rousse!
What emotions did baking and sharing trigger in you and the recipients?
We have experienced great pleasure, joy, great satisfaction and emotions, as well as the work of creating a beautiful sparrow and happiness in the eyes of the elderly and children. This is the future, the faith and the hope for a better and united life of EU people!
