- The baking house in the hamlet of Schopfloch has existed just as long as the town hall built in 1839.
- The two baking ovens are heated with bundles of brushwood.
- The baking house is used by various clubs and organizations as well as by 10 to 15 private individuals.
- In August the local Countrywomen’s Association celebrates the baking hill fest (“Backbergeleshock”), and every two years the Schopfloch hamlet fest (“Fleckafescht”) takes place.
- The parents‘ associations of the local preschool and school regularly organize baking events for and with children.
- The baking house is used to bake bread and “Dätscher”, a regional specialty. An explanation inspired by WIKIPEDIA: A “Dätscher” consists of yeast dough, thinly flattened by hand, with a hearty mixture of sour cream, spices and herbs spread on it before baking.
