- The bakehouse in Oberlenningen has existed since 1840.

- The ovens are heated with “Krähle” (bundles of brushwood and small branches).
- Baking takes place about 4 or 5 times a month.
- Nowadays, about 10 persons use the bakehouse regularly.
- Every year, local clubs organize three major bread baking events.
- The school holiday program includes pizza baking for children in the bakehouse.
- The bakehouse is equipped with an electrical dough mixer.
- Usually, people bake loaves called “Genetzte” (loaf surface wetted before baking).
- Whoever wants to bake has to register with the bakehouse custodian to receive the key.
- Bakehouse users have to bring their own firewood and broom-clean the place.
