Are there any special baking events?
Once a year in July we have our village festival “Gemma ins Dorf” (Bavarian for “Let’s go down to the village”). Not only are there performances by the local society for traditional costumes, but you can also enjoy traditional choirs from Lohberg and neighbour villages reciting traditional songs. A very special part of the festival are the handmade bakegoods from our oven: It is preheatet at noon, providing the visitors with customary “Waidlerkost” (Bavarian for a meal prepared in the region of the Bavarian Forest), like “Greiwegga” (a kind of bag lunch for lumberjacks).
