On June 24, a bread and croissant baking action with children and parents from Roma-Bulgarian families took place at the Center for Early Child Development in Varna, Bulgaria. The center is a joint project from the Bulgarian-German social association “St. Andreas” and the “Sauchastie” society. The present mothers and grandmothers confirmed the Danube Networkers’ message: Bread connects! And for that matter, hey looked at the map to find out the countries that lie on the Danube. The kids proudly presented the results of their baking and together with the social worker Leyla Hyusein (holding the flyer) gave a sign of friendship to their neighbors along the Danube.

Backaktion mit Kindern und Eltern aus Roma-bulgarischen Familien in Varna, Bulgarien
In Varna fand am 27.4. im Zentrum für frühkindliche Entwicklung eine Brot- bzw. "Croissant"-Backaktion mit Kindern und Eltern aus Roma-bulgarischen Familien statt. Das Zentrum ist ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt von Bulgarisch-Deutschem Sozialwerk "St. Andreas" e.V. & Verein "Sauchastie". Die anwesenden Mütter bzw. Großmütter bestätigten die Botschaft der Danube-Networkers: Brot verbindet! Und schauten gleich mal auf der Landkarte nach, durch wie viele Länder die Donau eigentlich fließt. Stolz zeigten die Kinder am Schluss die Backprodukte der gemeinsamen Arbeit, und alle gaben zusammen mit der Sozialarbeiterin Leylya Hyusein (sie hält den Flyer) ein Zeichen der Freundschaft an die Donaunachbarn und -nachbarinnen!
