Open Meeting Neu-Ulm is an offer for people from different living conditions looking for variety, exchange and enrichment in every-day life.
Particularly people with physical and mental encroachments shall experience more participation in public life through this offer. Between 10 and 15 persons with and without disabilities meet regularly twice a month on Tuesdays. The meetings take place every second Tuesday of each month at Diakonie (Gartenstr. 20, entrance at Hermann-Köhl-Str. 31 in Neu-Ulm) and every fourth Tuesday of each month at Stadtteilcafé Vorfeld Inn (Steubenstr. 34 in Neu-Ulm). In consultation with the participants there is – apart from chatting, coffee and cakes – also singing and handicraft working. All participants get the opportunity to introduce their own contribution or topics. When meeting at Diakonie, a small meal is also prepared.
The offer is free of charge.
For the Open Meeting there is no registration required.
By now, the Meeting has taken place for 5 years.
The competent institutions are Bayerisches Rotes Kreuz (BRK), Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk (DRW) and Lebenshilfe Donau-Iller (LH) in joint sponsorship.
