The wood-heated oven in the village of Eisingen, located in northern Bavaria, is used by the “Schür- und Backmannschaft” (a sort of specially trained baking team). Once a year, they run the oven to bake bread and local bake goods for the traditional baking house festival, which usually takes place on the last weekend of june. After its 40th anniversary last year, sadly this year it had to be cancelled.
