As part of the project “Tastes of Danube: Bread connects” and the 11th International Danube Festival Ulm/Neu-Ulm an international partner meeting with a symposium, partner day and the “Danube-Bridge-Breakfast” will take place from July, 12th to 15th 2018.
On July, 13th 2018 will be the conference “Intangible cultural heritage in the Danube Region – a national asset or a contribution to European identity?”. Approximately 120 representatives of 13 countries of the Danube area will participate. Apart from lectures about cultural heritage as a contribution to European identity, partner groups will report about their experiences with the method “Bread as a social event” that they implemented in their institutions or baking houses. Additionally, the results of the baking house documentation as places of communitarisation along the Danube River and the mills will be presented. Topics like Social Entrepreneurship and qualification should inspire for new fields of activity.
On July, 14th 2018, will be a partner day with various baking activities. The weekend’s highlight will be the Danube Bridge Breakfast at Herdbrücke Ulm on Sunday, 15th July. For the Danube Bridge Breakfast citizens from Ulm/Neu-Ulm and the surroundings, as well as people from different Danube countries are invited to small snacks and talks about everyday life, cultures, interests and experiences. The activity on the connecting bridge shall illustrate that we would like to get our neighbours along the Danbue, and live in a peaceful and solidary Europe united in diversity. The breakfast starts with a song for peace at 10.30 a.m.. Partner tables will guarantee for the wellbeing with different breads and self-made spreads, drinks etc.
Everyone is invited to the Danube Bridge Breakfast on 15th July 2018. Admission and snacks at the partner tables are free.

At the evening the Danube-Networkers will celebrate 10 years of Danube-Networkers in the house of encounter, Ulm.
At Saturday, 14th of July 2018 there will be a partner day with preparatory baking activities in Ulm.
The partner meeting will end with a highlight in Ulm, the second Danube Bridge Breakfast (15th of July 2018), all Danube guests will take up contact with citizens in the Ulm area.
