Buchheim (D-88637)

 

  • The baking house in Buchheim has been in use since the 1870s. Before, another baking house was used.
  • Since 1891, the baking house has been used at the expense of the parish.
  • The baking house has got two wood-fired ovens
  • It is heated up with 1 metres long logs of wood – softwood that can be found in the forest after storms. The marching band of Buchheim does the splitting and bundling of the logs.
  • There are three regular baking days per week with one or two ovens – depending on the demand
  • 54 families bake and each has its own fixed dates in the baking calendar. Additional baking times must be arranged with the baking lady.
  • Each week, 170 – 200 kg bread are baked
  • During the “Buchheimer Christmas Market” there are Christmas baking activities for children, the accordion club Buchheim bakes during the local fair at the open-air museum in Neuhausen ob Eck, the clubs and associations bake bread for local festivities, young parishioners bake the altar bread for their confirmation and each of them one for their family celebrations.
  • During the summer break programme for children, there are activities with the kindergartens

  • Das Backhaus in Buchheim gibt es schon seit den 1870-er Jahren. Schon davor gab es auch ein Backhaus.
  • Seit 1891 wird das Backhaus auf Kosten der Gemeinde betrieben.
  • Das Backhaus hat zwei Holzbackofen
  • Es wird mit 1 m Holzscheiten befeuert - Nadelholz, welches als Sturmbruchholz im Gemeindewald anfällt. Die Musikkapelle Buchheim übernimmt das Spalten und Bündeln der Holzscheite.
  • Es gibt drei feste Backtage in der Woche mit ein bis zwei Ofen – je nach Bedarf
  • 54 Familien backen, jede hat ihre festen Termine im Backkalender. Zusätzliche Backzeiten müssen mit der Backfrau vereinbart werden.
  • Jede Woche werden 170 kg – 200 kg Brote gebacken
  • Während des 'Buchheimer Christkindlemarkt' gibt es im Backhaus jedes Jahr eine Weihnachtsbäckerei für Kinder, während der 'Kirbe' im Freilichtmuseum in Neuhausen ob Eck bäckt der Akkordeon-Verein Buchheim, bei Festlichkeiten im Ort backen vielfach die Vereine Brot, Konfirmanden backen das Altarbrot für ihre Konfirmation und je ein eigenes für ihr Familienfest.
  • Während des Kindersommerferienprogramms gibt es Aktionen mit den Kindergärten
  • Jede Familie bäckt das Brot nach eigenem Rezept.
